I have to say a massive thank you on behalf of myself and my wife Ifigeneia, from the day we visited the venue, which I have to add we didn't arrange, we were welcomed with open arms and told have a look around.
We were shown absolute hospitality at every visit, from booking the venue, to all the visits to discuss the timings of the day, the food, the DJ. Truly the venue is absolutely amazing, not a single issue at all, the day was well managed by the team, and every guest complimented the venue and staff.
The day was so magical and I couldn't recommend the venue enough. If you do want a venue who have proven success, run like clockwork and make sure everything is perfect, use this venue. I highly recommend using the services of food, florist and DJ. They work so well together and again thank you all for an amazing day we will never forget.

Everything went smoothly thanks to the team and we had sooooo many compliments on the venue and staff. Would highly recommend this venue for your wedding! Such stunning venue in a nice location, has indoor/outdoor concept which is perfect for day weddings on a sunny day or rainy days whenever the weather is unpredictable. We were so lucky to have beautiful weather on 3rd Sep and spent most of our time on the wedding with our guests in the gorgeous garden and patio outside.
Kevin and Connor are amazing, so professional, efficient, reassuring, welcoming and easy to get in touch with whenever you need them. They accommodated all our requests and went the extra mile to ensure we had the perfect day, cannot thank them enough. Special shout out to Sarah who made our mocktails vision possible.
The venue work closely with caterer and florist which i would also highly recommend. Thanks to the team at The Waterside venue, we had a fairytale wedding.

The host and their family are amazing. They will feel like your own. Very experienced in handling a wedding and stress. The Venue is very versatile when it comes to weather changes. Beautiful nature recently upgraded. Very accessible car park. They do everything to make sure your wedding day runs smoothly. Very supportive and very well looked after. Couldn't have asked for anything more to fulfill our dream wedding.

My son and daughter in law, Max & Victoria, were married at The Waterside Venue on a grey day in March…but this did not deter us from having a beautiful wedding! It may have been cold outside, but it was warm with love, fun and laughter inside!
Kevin and Conor are AWESOME!!! They were so hospitable, patient and kind…nothing was too much trouble from the start of planning the wedding till the end. They made things very easy for us and went above and beyond…so accommodating and generous with their time and service which was faultless.
What lovely memories we have of the Waterside….made even better by the hosts!
The venue is gorgeous and very flexible to lots of ideas….the bride and groom were so happy as was all us family and friends!

The Waterside Venue is absolutely fantastic, and so are all the staff there, especially Kevin and Conor, who ensured our day was just as we wanted it. It's such a beautiful spot, with different spaces available to use happily whatever the weather (takes away a lot of worry with ever changing forecasts, which was hugely reassuring in the run up to our big day!). Kevin and Conor supported us with all our questions, and were so flexible and helpful with arrangements and adjustments, and ensured everything flowed smoothly on the day.
All of our guests loved the friendly atmosphere, and complimented us on our choice of venue.
Incredibly great value, and we are so glad that we chose to have our wedding party here, it truly was perfect!

Conor and Kevin are great hosts, answering all questions promptly and being fantastic on the day of the wedding. The venue itself is beautiful and spacious, ample space for kids to explore and guests to not be on top of each other. It’s a real hidden gem and we’ve had so much positive feedback from friends and family.I would definitely recommend this venue.

My husband and I got married here yesterday and we had the most wonderful day. Kevin and Conor are absolutely brilliant and ensured the day ran so smoothly and exactly how we wanted it to. They made it so easy for us to communicate with them while we were planning and in the lead up to the wedding too, and always got back to us so quickly, which was so appreciated. The venue itself is fantastic, it was exactly what we were looking for, it has some indoor spaces, a couple of marquees and outside spaces too, so there was something for everyone. We had so many comments from our guests about how great our choice of venue was as well. The team were so helpful and lovely, I really can't recommend this venue enough. My first ever wedding happened to be my own wedding, I was full of worry and stresses but Conor and Kevin were the kindest, helpful people I could of asked for.
The venue was absolutely beautiful for my wedding, the team worked so hard to make sure everything went perfect, the food and drinks were flowing, the day was perfect.
I would highly recommend this venue as it’s so calm, spacious and simply beautiful.
From the garden area, to the bar, to the marquee, there is always a place for you to go.

We held our wedding celebration at the Waterside. The venue was perfect: ample space for 80+ guests, beautiful setting, great facilities and Conor and his team were professional, friendly, obliging, and caring. The food was really good and all of our guests were very impressed. Would recommend wholeheartedly.

We had our wedding here this past weekend and it was absolutely beautiful! The venue is perfectly sized and beautifully decorated. Everyone had an amazing time. They stayed in contact with us through the planning and answered any questions we had very promptly.

We have had the most wonderful time with our wedding - When booking our wedding a year ago we weren’t aware it was a bank holiday and during the period of it being announced, the venue kept all of our existing prices the same which is a credit to their kindness.
The lead up to our wedding was at our own pace and the communication was whatever we wanted it to be. The venue has a great structure and basis that allowed us to have the wedding we truly wanted.
Our two lovely doggies were able to attend the entire day.
At no point throughout the day were my husband and I stressed or pressured by anything - The welcoming staff added an extra layer of safeness felt in the atmosphere and I can proudly say that I encourage any LGBTQIA couple to use this venue as they welcomed us with open arms.
A big shoutout to Anna and Heather are needed as the communication of them both in the lead up to the wedding was amazing and so appreciated. Connor, Kevin and the entire waiting team handled the schedule of our day perfectly and it truly was a glorious day.

We had our wedding reception at the Waterside in April 2022. For us it was a great venue - we loved it. The combination of pub, marquee, patio and grassy space means anyone can find a place where they are comfortable. We were lucky to have a sunny day, so we made good use of the outdoor space with drinks for grownups and games for kids. It's a nice-looking space and has a laid-back feel to it, which we liked. Conor and Kevin were responsive and helpful in the run-up, and flexible on the day, so we could easily run things however felt right. The food was good, music worked well (we just plugged our phone into their sound system), and the staff were all friendly and helpful. We were really happy with our choice, and would recommend this to anyone.

My now Husband Dan and I can't rate The Waterside Venue higher as a wedding venue. We got married there earlier this month and the day was so special despite the fear the weather would be against us on the week leading up to the wedding. Conor was quick to come up with alternative settings for the various parts of the day to make our guests comfortable with us finally having the ceremony in the large marquee and the wedding breakfast and evening dancing in the beautiful oak room. The selection of customisable spaces is something that makes The Waterside so special. Conor and Kevin were great in answering our questions in the run up to the day and fantastic hosts on the day itself. The food was delicious supplied by Anna's Kitchen who were amazing about dietary requirements and special requests. The Waterside's favoured florist Heather made the whole place look like a floral day dream and everything fit the scheme we had created. We enjoyed the picturesque garden for photos and the kids got to enjoy a floral adorned swing which was a suprise to us all. Our guests commended us on our choice of location and said how much they enjoyed the day and how chilled out it was. Thank you again!

We booked the Waterside venue for our wedding. The location is very nice. They have a small oak room where you can have your ceremony or reception and a big area outside for bigger events or you can even have your ceremony outside in the garden.
We chose the small oak room for our reception as it was a small wedding end everything turned up amazing, exactly how we wanted!
The owner Connor was very nice from the beginning, satisfying all our requests and he gave us even a more affordable price.
On the wedding day everyone was professional and busy too look after us.
We definitely recommend!

Myself and partner Joe recently got married at the venue and had our reception there. I must admit when I first met Connor his laid back attitude worried me, however he was so accomadating answering all my questions. I really need not to have worried as I can now clearly see why he is so laid back!! Connor and Kevin were absolutely amazing in looking after us and our guest and making the day run without any hitches. The food was great and the catering staff were superb.

We wanted to find a wedding venue and we're delighted to have found the Waterside venue.
Connor and Kevin your stars, from our first meeting through to our wedding you have been first class, in helping us with all our requirements.
Annie the chef will provide you with a meal plan for your day, and what a meal we had our guests were complimentary about every course 😋 we were delighted. All the staff were very friendly, helpful and professional and made our entire day Amazing 👏

My partner and I got married at The Waterside on 17.09.2021. Conor and Kevin are two of the loveliest and most professional people to deal with and catered for everything we asked for. They were extremely accommodating and could not have offered us a better service if they tried. The venue is lovely and completely unexpected. Conor and Kevin keep it in fantastic shape and always have great suggestions if your creative vision is a bit slow! The food we had was superb and on our day, everything ran like clock work. The ease of having C&K as central points of communication for the day really did help us and it seemed there was no request too big to ask. We will definitely be back for our next big celebration!

My Partner and I had our wedding at the waterside August 21. Firstly, Both Connor and Kevin where amazing and flexible with us when we had to postpone from 2020- Again thank you for this, really took the stress out. In the lead up they were responsive, helpful and answered every question we had. On the day they were just FANTASTIC, them and there team of staff are so lovely and welcoming, nothing is too much hassle, the food was devine, the venue itself is perfect or any wedding or party. I can only say the waterside and there staff are the most Honest and genuine lot you could ever meet. I would recommend them to anyone and would have an event there again.

Had my wedding at The Waterside. The good weather meant we could make full use of the lovely outside space. It was great to have use of the whole pub because it meant guests could hang out where they wanted. The staff were extremely thoughtful and helpful, and made everything run smoothly and looked after our guests.

We had our wedding here over the weekend and it was fabulous despite the rain it was still perfect, Connor and Kevin are a great team and very attentive hosts, food was great, very adaptable, great venue and friendly staff, everyone was really impressed with the venue, hidden gem, overall creating a fantastic atmosphere.

Perfect venue for our postponed wedding celebration, the mix of beautiful outdoor space and marquees was ideal for the mixture of sunshine and showers we had on the day. Great food and drinks that were very reasonably priced. Conor and Kevin were flexible and very responsive to all questions. Easy to reach the venue by car or train. Definitely recommend for any celebration/party!

My lovely lady and I got married at the Waterside in Rickmansworth! Quite simply the best day of our lives!
Connor and his team were amazing. I cannot recommend them enough!!! Professional, helpful and patient from start to finish. Flexible and supportive with the ever changing restrictions during the pandemic. And recommending some great suppliers who helped pull off a first class wedding for our 30 guest with a great atmosphere.
The weather was great so we were able to have an outdoor section to our wedding in the spacious grounds as well as the dinner under the gazebo. Little things made the difference, like an excellent decorator partner, parking onsite and the inhouse bar that let us have a tab for our guests rather than trying to guess exactly how much to provide.

Conor & his Team at Waterside went against all the odds to host a fantastic wedding for us in the post pandemic easing of lockdown. We had amazing looking day despite the rules of being outside in a marquee. The team worked tirelessly and gave excellent value for money and made our day so special with a beautiful backdrop to our wedding photos. Definitely a 5 star quality service for a wedding venue! Thank you guys you are beyond amazing with the best food we have had in a long time!
The most perfect wedding venue
As soon as we viewed this venue we knew it was right for us, and decided to book it straight away for our wedding. It is perfectly laid out, informal, with wonderful hosts, beautiful grounds, amazing food (fresh and lots of it). Seriously, so many people congratulated our choice, and expressed an interest in booking it themselves. Conor and Kevin were fantastic hosts, and couldn't do enough for us...ensuring I had a plate of food, a glass of bubbles and somewhere to store my bag (spare shoes, make-up etc). They were flexible and accommodating. And the next day everything was all cleared up and ready for us to take away. Their recommendation of Dermot the DJ went down well; he was a good addition after the afternoon band. Highly recommend
Perfect Wedding Party
My wife and I held our Wedding Party on the last weekend of August 2019. Connor, Kevin and his team were amazing from the very first time we met them, right through to clearing up the following day.
Nothing is too much bother, they are flexible and will literally allow you the freedom to plan your perfect party which is unlike most other venues I've come across. The prices are reasonable and the venue itself is the perfect combo of Old country pub, big wedding style marquee and even an alter for you to have a ceremony if you wish. A huge thank you to everyone at the Waterside for making our special day the best we could wish for.

My sisters wedding yesterday was made so perfect by the Waterside! The combination of a stunning venue,delicious varied foods and extremely accommodating staff created an friendly,fun and family-feel environment.

Gorgeous Wedding Venue
Connor and his team hosted our wedding for us on 10th August this year. Needless to say they were brilliant! They couldn't have done more for us. The whole team were so friendly and they went above and beyond for us. Connor accomodated to our needs in every way he could and helped us numerous times when we hit complicated situations. He helped us get in touch with a company that hired chairs and tables after we changed to have our sit down meal in the marquee instead of inside. The venue itself is beautiful and well kept. With plenty of space outside in the marquees it makes a fantastic celebration location. Being right on the river aswell makes those photo moments even more special. Thanks again to Connor and his team for making our wedding the most special day of our lives!
What a Day
Excellent from booking to the night itself! We had our wedding reception here recently & had tested the food, tested the drinks & tested the service in the months leading up to it. We were not let down once. Connor & Kevin were great hosts & the staff were as welcoming as they could be. Would book again if we ever have the cause to! 100 percent
Our Amazing Wedding Reception
We had such an amazing evening at our wedding reception! Nothing was to much trouble for Conor, Kevin and all the team and we got so many comments on how lovely the staff were. The Venue is beautiful inside and out and the food was excellent. We couldn’t have wished for any better and are so thankful to the team for making it all perfect.
Fabulous wedding
Had my wedding here in June, everything was perfect. The staff are really friendly and down to earth, let us get on with it really. Super helpful and the food was outstanding. Great communication with the owners and the venue itself is gorgeous. Defo recommend having your wedding here.
We have also been for a regular lunch before and thoroughly enjoyed it.

We highly recommend this place as we held our wedding reception here recently and we can honestly say it couldn’t have been any better. Conor,Kevin, Helen and the rest of the team are excellent hosts and couldn’t do enough for us, from the months of planning up until the actual day which was fantastic. Everyone said what a fantastic place it was and would happily book their party there. We really can’t praise this venue enough, it really was the best in every way. Wedding Reception
Perfect venue from the setting, staff to the food. Staff answered all questions quickly and done whatever they could to have made our wedding day as special as it was (getting early to set up, dropping things off in the week, recommending companies for extras and clearing away). Family, Friends and kids are still talking about it. We had just under 200 people 50 of which were kids but hardly saw them as they had so much space. Cant recommend this venue enough!
Wedding Party
Having got married abroad we wanted somewhere to host a party for everyone and The Waterside was perfect!
The service was excellent with the staff warm, friendly and attentive. The food quantity and quality was superb and the whole venue bright and welcoming.
All in attendance said how fantastic it was and we wouldn't hesitate to book another party here. The day literally couldn't have gone better thanks to Conor, Kevin and the team.
Fantastic Wedding Venue
Had our wedding reception here. Atmosphere was fantastic and so was the food. We opted for the hog roast and it did not disappoint. The staff were a great help and always on hand especially Conor and Kevin. Will be returning for a meal in the future. Highly recommend. Reasonably priced compared to other venues in the area.
Wedding Party at the Waterside
Everything from the moment we booked was perfect. The venue ticked all the boxes for our event and has a fantastic warm and welcoming atmosphere. Communication in the run up to the event was great and the evening ran smoothly. This was all down to the fabulous team, thank you Conor, Kevin and Clare who could not do enough for us and were always on hand when we needed them. All our guests loved the venue and the food too. As the bride I wanted to add a few personal touches, but the place is so beautifully decorated I could have walked straight in and not done a thing to it!!
A big thank you again to the team, we had a magical evening that we will always remember.
Wonderful Wedding Day
Thanks to Conor and his team, we had the BEST wedding day ever. Totally chilled and relaxed, nothing was a problem. The weather was perfect, the gardens looked fab in full bloom and the kids loved playing in the back field by themselves. All of our guests had a blast; even having to come in from the garden at 11pm wasn’t a problem - the party carried on seamlessly inside. Thanks for having us!
Brilliant Throughout
We had our wedding reception at The Waterside. Jo and I were so happy we chose this charming venue with its two gardens for our wonderful day. The Waterside was the perfect setting for the rustic, relaxed wedding party we wanted.
In terms of food, we had an incredible hog roast (with some goats cheese tarts as a vegetarian alternative) and buffet for our wedding breakfast. In the evening, the fish goujons and “the world’s best chips” went down a storm with our guests.
Conor and his team were brilliant throughout, in the days coming up to the wedding and helping us tidy up afterwards. Nothing was too much bother for them, meaning we could focus on enjoying our special day. Conor was always on hand to help us in the run-up to the wedding and was able to recommend local suppliers when we needed one.

We held our son Jordan and his beautiful bride Zara's wedding at the Waterside. We couldn't have asked for a better venue.
Conor, Clare and Tom made us feel so very special with their warm welcome, we just sat back and relaxed. Clare was so bubbly and attentive.
The food was amazing, the toad-in-the-hole was perfection, I'd go back just for them. We had the Hog roast for our main course, it was delicious and plentiful.
We had a sunny day, so the disco was out in the gardens we dance the night away.

We had our wedding reception at The Waterside on 10 May and we would like to say a huge thank you to Conor and the team for making our day so special.
The venue is so beautifully decorated that we didn't need to add anything ourselves and throughout the whole planning process Conor has been so accommodating and relaxed that we had no worries once the day came around.
We had so many of our guests say how lovely the venue was and how great the food was and we whole heartedly agree.
We only live down the road from The Waterside so I'm we will be coming back again and again for Sunday roasts or just for a drink.

We celebrated our wedding reception here on Saturday 2nd December & can honestly say it was the most perfect venue for us along with our family and friends.
Conor, Tom & the girls were amazing and incredibly attentive & made the planning & evening completely and utterly stress free. We have since had countless compliments on both the venue & the food served on the evening & wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this venue to anyone in the future. Wedding party
We held a reception here after our civil wedding ceremony at the town hall. Cannot say how wonderfully helpful the staff were. Connor and his team were extremely efficient and always at hand. Very accommodating all through. The venue is stunning and can be decorated to your hearts content. Plenty parking. Excellent access off the motorway. Plenty of space as well both indoors and outdoors. Given the chance would quite happily host an event here again. All our guests left well happy! Cannot recommend it enough.

We got married last weekend and used The Waterside as our party venue. We cannot emphasise how supportive the management and staff were. The manager especially made sure our day went without a hitch and they were all genuinely welcoming and friendly to us and our guests. We would really recommend the buffet menu, it is amazing and there was so much food to go round! No one went hungry! They have beautiful gardens for taking photos and entertaining your guests in the day. We had about 130 people in total and it catered for us all comfortably. We would definitely recommend The Waterside for a wedding and we would also use them for any other parties we arrange.
